I've spent two years in the SCC Bookstore, my older brother worked around three years at Target and a toy store, and my best friend works at Michaels. Each of us has come to a conclusion regarding customers; the majority are nice and cordial, but there's a portion that are downright abusive to retail employees; just one in 20 that will walk in and treat the employees like rugs.

May 3 marked the second night of LPC's spring dance production, and as the theater filmed, the second ever evening began of a production based upon a specific theme: Let's go to the Movies!

The first dance performance of the evening was choreographed by dance student Natalie Miramontes, and featured music by Flo Rida, Missy Elliot and Timbaland, as well as Justin Timberlake and Modonna.

Student government advised open elections last month and voter turnout during club day was bleak. "We only had about 290 students vote," said Cynthia Ross, Student Life Adviser of ASLPC said.

Unfortunately, it was coming to the aid of his young brother who was being robbed that ended his life.

30-year old Valadez heard his brother Victor Valadez being robbed on April 30 on Lindon Street in West Oakland and went downstairs to help.

New Solano Community College instructor Dr. Saki Cabrera feels she is able to bring students the ability to see the world through a wider lens.

"I grew up in the projects and I know violence," said Cabrera, who is a victim of violence due to a random shooting in New York's Time Square.

The program invited the community, SCC students and students from Universal Health School to come out and enjoy music, food and most importantly: fun. Music provided by Trios Los Lobos and DJ Latin Soul.
