Senior gift ready to make comeback

The second is New Student Orientation, an overnight program that welcomes new SJSU students while teaching them the traditions of the university and how to use available resources.
The third choice, the Student Emergency Fund, provides assistance to students and funds any type of emergency crisis, including tuition, temporary housing, groceries, etc.
Stewart said the top pick so far is donating to the Student Emergency Fund. She also believes that this program is important and is enthusiastic about the current outstanding support.
"I think it's neat to see students are acknowledging and recognizing emotional support," Stewart said.
Klem said she is excited to see the response from faculty and staff supporting students. Both Klem and Stewart agree that there has been a surprisingly generous amount of support from parents of graduates and the faculty.
"Universities would be more distinctive and better because of giving," SJSU President Don Kassing said. "The whole idea is that it makes institutions better."
